Here's a discovery hike that combines nature and prehistory that we did this winter

Indeed, there are more than 1800 dolmens in our region, much more than in Brittany and Vendée. These monuments are most often hidden by vegetation or forgotten in the garrigue and their presence is hardly ever indicated to walkers. However, some of them are very large and very well preserved.
Behind us, between Saint Félix de Pallières and Anduze, several dolmens are hidden as well as some menhirs. In the shelter of pines, oaks or strawberry trees, you can discover them through pleasant walks. We suggest you discover three of them from our house.

First, how to get there

At the exit of Durfort, go towards Saint Hippolyte du Fort and then follow the direction of Saint Felix de Pallières.
After Saint Felix de Pallières turn left at the bridge and follow the sign "l'Olivier /Anduze".
Continue and park in the car park with the signs for La Grande Pallière. You have arrived at the old mines of Saint Felix de Pallières.

The hike can then begin

It lasts 1 hour and a half and is very easy in the shade of the pine trees.
Along the way we picked up some minerals.
